Daniel Moos
Founder and Chief Strategist
With over 30 years of success at Fortune 500, private and middle market companies, Daniel Moos founded Cobblestone Group in 1996. His vision for the company was to invest in businesses with economic potential that require entrepreneurial direction and business services support. Today, that vision is being realized as Cobblestone Group provides businesses with the economic and strategic resources of an organization with global relationships while remaining an approachable firm with a regional presence.
Under Daniel’s leadership, Cobblestone Group continues to grow and bolster its portfolio. This is accomplished by seeking out underperforming assets that can be repositioned with an improved financial structure and/or more efficient management. Then, Cobblestone Group approaches those opportunities as if it were playing in “the big game.” They join the team on the field, they coach from the sidelines and they cheer for success from the best seats in the house.

Jennifer Golden
Executive Assistant
Jennifer is Executive Assistant to Daniel Moos, Owner of Cobblestone Group, with whom she has worked for over a decade. Jennifer is responsible for keeping the many facets of Cobblestone Group in sync across multiple time zones and dozens of operating locations. She also effortlessly coordinates activities and communication for the team and external stakeholders. Jennifer helps assure “the glue always sticks!” and everyone stays on task. Jennifer attended Texas Tech University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.

Steve Mastin
Chief Operating Officer - Alternative Energy Division
Steve Mastin is the Chief Operating Officer for Cobblestone’s Batteries Plus portfolio. Steve has over two decades of experience with Batteries Plus. He brings to Cobblestone a vast knowledge of inventory control, logistics and the battery industry in general. With these skills he supports Cobblestone in controlling inventory costs, procurement and increasing sales. Steve’s experience includes commercial sales, battery manufacturing, quality management systems and the overseeing of multi-store franchise groups.

Susan Allen
Chief Operating Officer - Logistics Division
As the Chief Operating Officer of our UPS portfolio, Susan Allen provides direct input on all business matters related to Cobblestone Group. In her almost 20 years with Cobblestone Group, Susan has worked nearly every position in the organization. Susan’s experience and enthusiasm is why she is the “go-to” person in almost any situation. Susan brings over 25 years of team building, administrative and operational leadership in large and middle market organizations to Cobblestone Group.

Bruce Mavis
General Manager - Texas Region/Corporate Treasurer
Bruce Mavis brings over three decades of experience in operations, finance and banking to Cobblestone Group. Bruce’s historical background in store operations started with his experience working in automotive parts and batteries. He will integrate that knowledge with Batteries Plus’s catalog of products to lead our greater Dallas Area stores to new levels of sales and service. His additional professional experience in finance and accounting will aid the company in decision making processes to achieve solid financial goals. This vision and leadership will assure that the company achieves significant cost savings and improved profit margins that will create a strategic edge over its competitors. He holds an MBA from Metropolitan State University (Minneapolis, MN) with concentrations in International Finance and Information Technology as well as a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Cloud State University (St. Cloud, MN).

Stephen M. Carty II
Director of Strategic Development
Stephen Carty has over two decades of consulting experience with finance, franchise sales and operations in New Orleans and Chicago, as well Tokyo. Stephen joined Cobblestone Group in 2022 as Director of Strategic Development. In this role, he leads the development of new business opportunities and directly oversees the development & operation of the Commercial Sales Office for our Batteries Plus locations. When he is not watching premier soccer (some call football), he has the unique talent for connecting the dots in resolving business issues ensuring clients are all well served.

Jessica Sandal
Director of Operations - Batteries Plus Division
Jessica Sandal has 16+ years of experience in restaurant and retail store operations. The last eight years of those with Batteries Plus. Jessica is the Director of Operations tied to our Batteries Plus portfolio. This includes dealing with customers issues, CounterPoint reports, Cobblestone internal operations or any other number of problems our staff may have. Jessica began her career with Batteries Plus nine years ago in Casa Grande. She managed all operations for store #877 before joining our team as an Area Manager over the Texas and Arizona states. If you were to ask what her favorite aspects of Batteries Plus are she would tell you how much she loves doing device repair and light bulbs. When she is not dreaming about light bulbs you can find her either watching or attending a Phoenix Suns basketball game as a diehard fan, or you might bump into her at Disneyland.

Savannah Anderton
Director of Supply Chain - Batteries Plus Division
Savannah Anderton is the Director of Supply Chain management for our entire Batteries Plus Bulbs portfolio. She brings almost a decade of management experience to the team. In this role she handles the purchasing for all stores, supports everyone in their inventory needs, facilitates full store inventories and all other aspects related to products we sell in our Batteries Plus stores. For those of you that have not met Savannah, she began her career with Batteries Plus in 2017 as one of the original employees at the Riverton, UT (#724) location. When we purchased the Salt Lake City area stores, she supported our needs there and has served as the Area Manager ever since. Recently she has been working alongside Steve Mastin, our Chief Operations Officer for Batteries Plus, in regard to cleanup of discontinued products, full store inventories and cycle count adjustments. When she is not diving deep into the world of Batteries Plus you can likely find her at a concert, working on a puzzle with her boyfriend or taking care of their cats and chickens at home.

Tom Latus
Senior Area Manager for Vegas - Batteries Plus Division
Tom serves as both a Store Manager of one of our Batteries Plus locations and Associate Trainer. While he is new to our organization, he is not new to Batteries Plus or mechanical/electrical equipment. In this role he is training associates with Key fob and Device Repair services. Tom has been involved with Batteries Plus first as an Assistant Manager, then taking on the role of Manager. The store he managed was Corporate owned giving him a unique opportunity to see their processes. Tom was actively involved in inventory, training, commercial customers, and the day-to-day operations which has made him a great asset to have on board. Prior to that he has 20+ years of military and private sector experience in electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance. As we transition into more focused training, Tom will be invaluable in helping us reach our goals.

Sam Touchstone
Senior Area Manager for Texas & Louisiana - Batteries Plus Division
Sam Touchstone took over as the area manager for the Houston and Louisiana market after Cobblestone purchased the Houston stores in 2023. Sam joined the team with just over a decade of experience with Batteries+. Having started his time as a part-time associate while he finished his collegiate education, Sam worked his way up to full time associate, assistant store manager, commercial sales manager, and eventually a store manager. He brings with him a unique skill set he developed with his experience working for multiple different franchise owners and corporate ownership. Sam is a highly skilled professional with a proven ability to excel as both a salesperson and trainer. With excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of customer needs and team dynamics, he consistently drives outstanding sales results through strong relationship-building and tailored solutions. As a trainer, Sam empowers others by providing clear, engaging instruction and equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed for success. When Sam isn’t busy installing a car battery, you can find him cheering on the Houston Astros, Fulham FC, or going on an outdoor adventure with his wife and dogs.

Quiana Hughes
Lead Store Manager - UPS Division
Quiana attended the University of Colorado where she obtained her BA in Business Management and Culinary. She has over 20 years in Business Management experience from owning her own Business Q’s Construction to running multi- billion dollar companies. She joined Cobblestone in October 2021. Since then, she has assumed management of a struggling UPS Store in our Colorado portfolio. In less than six months she took an underperforming store to a very viable location. Within the Denver market she also assists with other locations we own or manage. With her many years of leadership and customer service, she assures that every customer is treated with the highest level of services across the board.

Edwin Luna
Batteries Plus Division
Edwin Luna has been a multi-store manager for our UPS business and is transitioning those management skills to become part of our Batteries Plus team. Edwin has worked for UPS for the last 10 years and has managed teams within customer service since 2017. His developing theory for management success emphasizes customer satisfaction, efficiency, and professionalism. Prior to his management position with UPS, Edwin worked as a multi-store manager for Cricket Wireless where he was repeatedly recognized for high performance and specialized in sales. Edwin understands the impact of environment on employee performance thus he strives to create a friendly, productive, and flexible work culture within his team and across the company. Outside of work, Edwin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys watching and playing sports like soccer, football and basketball.

Mattie Williams
Lead Store Manager - UPS Division
Mattie Williams is our Lead Manager in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana market for UPS. She joined our group in 2018 with six years of customer service experience. In the last two years Mattie has brought the Baton Rouge store from an average performing store to the highest grossing store within the current UPS market, earning the store a Silver status within the Regional UPS market. Among her numerous duties with UPS, she is also a homemaker, cosmetologist and prize-winning singer in her spare time! We are extremely happy to have her on board and look forward to her future success with the group.
